It is that time again… tax season officially opens Friday, January 31. As always, the deadline for filing your personal tax return is April 15 th, 2014.
The IRS has provided several tools to help you with your taxes, for example:
- Use the Interactive Tax Assistant to answer many of your tax questions.
- Find out if you're eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit by using the EITC Assistant.
- Use the AMT Assistant tool to find out if you may need to pay Alternative Minimum Tax.
- Track your refund using the ' Where's My Refund?' tool.
If you are a current tax client, you should have received your tax organizer packet last week.
